( message 02. đź”®psychic link. )
[ though this is a heavy thing for her to do in a number of ways, zita feels like this has to be done.
so she uses the physic link, her attempts to get the others' attentions gentle yet persistent nudges as her message begins to ripple out. ]
Hello, everyone... I'm Zita. I feel like I should introduce myself to you all, just in case.
After the events of last month and in light of recent events despite it being so early, I thought it wouldn't hurt to check on how you were all doing. Between the conflicts and the disturbances, it's certainly been a rough few months for all and-
[ uncertainty clouds zita's end of the connection for a second, but she pushes through it and some measure of determination shines through. ]
-and I want to do my best to help out more in the city as a result. There's much to do and we're here, after all, to fulfill that task
So... I'm planning some activities and would greatly appreciate company and help along the way. If you're interested in joining these tasks or are simply in need money or healing, please let me know so we can talk.
If you're in need of help with anything, please feel free to make your needs known too and I, and, hopefully, others, can aid you in someway in return.
Thank you.
[ ooc notes; feel free to interact with yourselves and hijack other threads! zita will have an month-long open log for activities up within the week and will be linked here accordingly for those who would like to participate in some influence jobs with zita. :> ]

It doesn't hurt to give the city a little nudge in the right direction.
[ she pauses now, trying to settle her thoughts into something more easy to follow along- ] Have you heard about what's happening at the ports? It seems the sailors are in need of aid with unloading their supplies safely.
[ alas, molly, this means physical work. ]

[ zita softens a bit at this point, her gratitude and worry shining through now. ] Plus- The concern of mercenaries and bandits concern everyone in the city if they interfere with the works of the docks.
We're short on supplies as is... Being able to keep it from getting worse is a good step forward, I think.

which is true, now that she thinks about it- she hadn't thought about why the mercenaries were attacking the ships, what would drive some people to do the things they do.
perhaps she should think of them a bit more generously. it's the least she can do. ]
One thing at a time, unfortunately. Long as we're here, we'll do what we can but we should do our best to not stretch ourselves too thin since we're a small gathering now.
[ there's a hint of sorrow from her now. ] Ah- Is it alright if I ask you a question, Molly?

[He pauses. Nothing good ever comes from someone using those words, but it feels a little shitty to just say no. He settles for pretending like such a thing is unlikely to be dangerous.] Yes, darling?

either she's trying to word her question or think up of a question, if she thought she didn't think she'll get to this point. ]
Is there a group here that you trust? Out of all the- [ she tries to find a word that would be fair to them all. ] -factions that we've met, is there one you think we can dependably believe in?
no subject
[That's complicated, isn't it?] I don't put a whole lot of stock in institutions. Groups of people tend to be idiots. But I will say this- Fayura hasn't given me any reason not to trust her.

[ and no doubt is exhausted from all of it. it almost reminds her of the carnival. before her arrival here. when curtis ran himself ragged trying to undo curses and blights thrown their way. and that's only for a relatively small group of carnies. she can only imagine the strain of trying to do that on a city-scale.
but zita will focus on that aspect later. something molly said gets her interest. ] ... and that is true. She didn't give you a reason to not trust her.
[ and the others have?, is the unasked question. she knows better than to say something like that aloud. better to leave it vague, tinted with concern and worry that could be interpreted as surprise, not suspicion (though it is). ]

I think the others have biases that I don't have is all. I don't trust extremists- especially not now. I've seen what people can do when they're done wrong by, and the people they turn to will back them up. The Council's all in for Blood and the Guilds are all in for Landens, and they don't seem to consider that there could be a balance, but Fayura is out there not siding with anyone and promoting peace between factions. And... I agreed to come here to protect Draega, not pick sides in some political pissing contest.

[ but would the city be willing to accept moderation if it's offered to them...? the doubt and concern clouds zita's reply, flavouring it with her worry that she soon explains for: ] I'm worried the people will be willing to accept one end or another, since, unfortunately, results have been made.
[ not good results, of course, given the damage and the impact that everyone has been forced to deal with. but results are being made. opinions and voices are being heard, one way or another.
that might encourage others to do more to get things 'done' in their eyes. ]

Hi, Zita. I'm Piper. [ No last name because she's still not in the habit of giving it out if she can help it. ] What kind of activities are you planning?
no subject
I was thinking of a number of activities, like distributing food and supplies over at the slums to help the people or helping over at the docks with making sure supplies are being brought here.
